Hey Church Family

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
We still find ourselves in awe of God’s goodness and faithfulness over the past year.
After moving to Gore at the end of the year, we launched our connect group in February on Wednesday nights using the early church as a model: sharing a meal, connecting, and prayer. In April, we officially said “see ya later” to C3 Invercargill as we launched ‘Homechurch’ on a Sunday in our home. Similar format, but we incorporated worship, sharing a word. and some organised child chaos—I mean Kids Church. And of course, table fellowship. In mid-July we finally launched a service at the local community center, with a salvation at our first service.
Thank you, Jesus! We get the sense that there is a hunger for the Holy Spirit in this town. Gore needs the peace of
God. God has put on our hearts the farming and isolated rural community, so we are prayerfully considering what outreach
looks like as a new church.
We are excited to see what God has in store for the future!
We are so thankful for your faithful partnership and offering to Build To Reach. We were able to launch blessed and
front-footed. We purchased some gear to run the service and kids’ ministry and hire out a warm, new venue that ticks all the
boxes.
We are seeing visitors most weeks and already have a gathering of regular church Whanau. We are able to create a safe space for people to connect and God to move.
Thank you to those who have faithfully served, been present in the room, prayed, and sown financially; offerings like these have an eternal impact. We could not have done this without you. “...I will show you my faith by my deeds.” James 2:18
May the Lord bless you and keep you, Church Whanau.
See you soon!
